Iyengar Yoga for Men - a supportive space now open to all

Join Tanya's Iyengar yoga class originally created to offer a welcoming space for men - now a friendly, mixed group where everyone is welcome.

With a focus on alignment, sequencing, and mindful progression, this class is ideal if you’re looking for a supportive environment to build strength, flexibility, and confidence in your practice. It’s particularly suited to men who might feel less at ease in a predominantly female yoga space.

Tanya’s teaching is clear and encouraging, with props and alternatives offered to help you work safely and within your ability. Her classes are strong, but always infused with humour and a light-hearted approach.

Each week varies in focus - from standing poses and twists to backbends, forward bends, balances, or recuperation. There’s often a “silly” pose included too, just for fun.

Tanya has been practising Iyengar yoga since 1994 and teaching since 2009. For her, it’s a space to let go of life’s pressures and be fully present - and she invites you to come and experience the same.
