An Introduction to Meditation

Have you heard that meditation is good for you and wanted to give it a go, but have been put off by the idea of sitting cross-legged on the floor and emptying your mind? Have you tried meditating before but struggled to maintain a regular practice when 'life' got in the way?
This workshop could be what you're looking for!
An invitation to join a friendly, welcoming group and explore accessible approaches to meditation with others.
The workshop will include:
- time spent finding a supportive and comfortable posture using blankets, props and chairs as required
- some accessible mindful movement
- an introduction to different approaches to meditation including concentration practices and mindfulness
- the chance to chat about your experience with others if you want to (no pressure to do this)
- tea and biscuits!
You will get access to a short video and the opportunity for an online follow-up get together a couple of weeks after the workshop.
