Sarah Cesek

Sarah started practicing yoga as a late-teen and fell in love with it pretty quickly. She loved the energy, the challenge, and the focus it demanded and felt she experienced more and more magic with each class. Her mat became a place where she felt safe, and found to be yoga a source of growth and discovery.

In 2014 Sarah travelled to Rishikesh, India to train to teach Vinyasa and Hatha yoga and meditation. Afterwards she moved to Australia where she taught in studios in Melbourne and Brisbane whilst developing her own practice as she soaked up Australia’s amazing yoga culture. She discovered she likes to teach fun, relaxed, but challenging flow classes.

Whilst there Sarah did further trainings in Restorative and Pregnancy Yoga. Becoming pregnant herself later, allowed her to experience the huge positive impact yoga can have on pregnancy as well as birth.

Inspired by her own transformative birth experience, in 2018 Sarah trained with Janet Balaskas in London to become an Active Birth teacher. As well as yoga she offers birth preparation workshops for expectant parents, incorporating Active Birth’s unique blend of practical knowledge and pregnancy yoga-inspired movement to use during birth.

During her own post-natal journey, Sarah once again turned to yoga for support. Not only could she strengthen and nurture her tired body, but also find a space of calm in a very demanding day. After completing a further training with Bliss Baby Yoga Sarah now teaches post-natal yoga in her ‘Yoga for Mums’ classes, which incorporate a mix of specific strengthening exercises and much-needed restorative postures.

“I’ve found yoga to be truly transformative. It’s given me friendships, incredible travel opportunities, and supported me through two pregnancies and now motherhood”

Sarahs’ classes are for everybody and she encourages students to take ownership of their practice by adapting what we do to suit them.

Classes

Hatha Flow

I would describe my classes as both sacred and silly. Each one is an opportunity for us to explore the magic yoga offers, without taking ourselves too seriously!

Hatha Flow will leave you feeling stretched and strong through a series of creative flows that build towards a playful peak posture. Every class incorporates deep relaxation time through a series of restorative postures.

I am inspired by the yoga traditions and enjoy incorporating them, for example through using Sanskrit names for postures and ending class with the mantra Om.

Although fairly strong, Hatha Flow is suitable for all, as each pose can be adapted for every body. Expect to make friends, have fun, and chill out.
