Meditation, or Dhyana, the 7th limb of yoga according to yogic philosophy is the art of quieting and calming the mind. It has been practised for thousands of years and continues to grow in popularity today as people discover how it can bring mental and physical relaxation and support personal and spiritual development. The benefits of meditation emerge with time, practice, and consistency.
This yoga and meditation morning retreat will include yoga asana and pranayama practice with an introduction to meditation. We will learn the basics of meditation practice and theory. We will practise a variety of simple and effective techniques to help you begin a meditation practise. If you haven’t already started to meditate or are anxious about how and where to start, this yoga morning maybe just what you need to get started or enhance your current practise from which you can grow and develop.
Join me at this new location in the pretty market town of Stroud. There is an opportunity to stroll around the award-winning farmers market and perhaps stop for lunch or tea and cake at one of the many independent cafes in the town.
