A conscious practice of dance, infused with the wisdom of yoga to develop a deeper understanding and awareness of body, mind and emotions. When the body is massaged gently though breath, mindfulness and movement, dance becomes yoga.
Shakti dance combines flowing yogic stretches, standing step sequences and finally free dance to funky and flowing mantric music. It is then followed by deep relaxation and a moving meditation to leave you feeling deeply relaxed and energised.
The practice is rooted in the tradition of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan and was created by dancer and yogi, Sara Avtar.
