Oli is a practising midwife and facilitator of Yoga Nidrā and yoga for pregnant and postnatal women.
‘Yoga has accompanied me at every stage of my adult life. Initially through dutiful attention to teachers’ instructions in regular classes, in various styles – ashtanga, hatha, anusara and vinyasa – at Yogahome in London, Bridget Woods-Kramer in Cornwall, Sam Burkey and Emma Tilley in Gloucestershire, and a Hatha Teacher Training at Bristol School of Yoga. As I continue to develop my own authentic practice, I’m interested in listening and responding to my own inner voice (how does this feel, what do I need?) – this influences how I share yoga, as an invitation and enquiry into the felt experience, rather than as instructions.’
Currently taking a break from teaching pregnancy yoga in Gloucestershire NHS Trust, where Oli works as a midwife, the ‘gift’ of a back injury has enabled a revelatory exploration of yoga without movement: Yoga Nidrā.
Oli has completed Total Yoga Nidra Teacher Training with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, and a Total Yoga Nidra for Self care course with Nirlipta Tuli, co-founders of the Yoga Nidra Network, and is excited to share its potent benefits with you.
Oli will run monthly Yoga Nidra sessions on the first Sunday of every month…see the ‘Workshops’ page for details.
