Stroud Yoga Space offers a variety of different yoga styles.

All yoga has the same set of asanas (postures) in common, but there are different ways of interpreting them, and so we have created descriptions of each style that we offer to help you find a style that appeals to you. Often the best way to discover is to try out a few different styles until you find one that resonates with you. We also have a few different forms of Pilates which are also listed below.

Yogalates

A Fitness Yoga based class with all the benefits of Pilates too to help with posture, balance, inner strength, flexibility, body confidence and relaxation.

Concentrating on flowing movements, breathing and transitions from one posture to another, progressions and relaxation.

However there is no chanting or use of Sanskrit terms as postures are described from a modern fitness perspective.

A mindful method of teaching is used that reflects the budhist traditions of yoga in a more contemporary and social environment. Music is also played to help you stay in the moment.

All postures are taught from a fitness based perspective so we avoid exceeding optimal ranges of motion.

There are no extreme postures or headstands.

This class is suitable for beginners upwards.
