Stroud Yoga Space offers a variety of different yoga styles.

All yoga has the same set of asanas (postures) in common, but there are different ways of interpreting them, and so we have created descriptions of each style that we offer to help you find a style that appeals to you. Often the best way to discover is to try out a few different styles until you find one that resonates with you. We also have a few different forms of Pilates which are also listed below.

Tai Chi

Tai Chi is known as the supreme exercise system. It has been around for hundreds of years with various styles emerging and evolving through time.

When practicing Tai Chi everything is medicinal and everything is martial, all at once. Training the body and mind as a whole unit, moving together as one.

Co-ordinating the slow continuous movements with the breath, you will gain strength, balance, tone the muscles, and increase your general wellbeing with energy enhancing exercises.

From the BBC to Harvard Medical school and around the world, articles and papers have been written to prove Tai Chi has geniune health benefits for all.

Tai Chi is also excellent for rehabilitation, as it is essentially isometric excercise.

The real benefit however, is the fact that Tai Chi has no lifespan. You can practice this ancient art well into old age and beyond; to improve in all aspects both mentally and physically.
