I qualified as an NCT Antenatal Teacher in 2008 and and then studied further to train firstly to teach Relax, Stretch & Breathe classes and more recently Yoga for Pregnancy and Mother & Baby Yoga. I have practised yoga all my adult life and naturally turned to it during each of my own pregnancies: I am passionate about the benefits of yoga in pregnancy, for childbirth and beyond.
What other mums have said:
“I found it friendly, useful and supportive. A great space to relax and just be with you and your baby. Gillian is lovely and you always feel welcome.”
“Breathing exercises, visualisation and relaxation very much helped with preparation for labour and gave valuable rest time for body and mind.”
“Your classes were amazing. I loved them and will miss going.”
Mother and Baby Yoga
Mother and Baby Yoga is suitable for women from six weeks postnatal, up until your baby is mobile. It gives you the chance to stretch and relax whilst spending some quality time with your baby, and exercising them gently too. The class is designed to be enjoyable for both mum and baby, and will help to ease you back into exercise whilst also helping your baby develop their reflexes and motor skills; all in the company of other new mums and babies.
Classes cost £40 for a six-week term. Please contact me for availability.
|Friday||11am - 12pm||Studio 1|
Yoga for Pregnancy
My pregnancy classes aim to give you time to relax, focus on your baby and think about your wishes for the birth. Women often report reduced aches and pains and better quality of sleep as well as improved posture and body awareness and more confidence with positions and breathing for labour. Refreshments and chat at the end of the class allows the opportunity to get to know other local pregnant women.
Classes cost £50/£40 per month (depending on the number of Sundays), to include refreshments at the end of the session. Drop-in classes at £12 are subject to availability. Concessions are available: contact me for details.
|Sunday||7pm - 8.30pm||Studio 2|
